 Big Ang from VH1’s hit series Mob Wives held a launch party for her new reality TV show “Miami Monkey” at 49 Grove in New York City this past weekend.
The launch party was a reality TV and celebrity packed affair that featured the entire cast of the new Miami Monkey series and its’ creator and executive producer Jen Graziano. Miami Monkey features Angela “Big Ang” Raiola from VH1 Mob Wives, her daughter Raquel Raiola, Raquel’s friend Ryan who is a bartender and friend Roxanne who manages the bar when Raquals in New York, Ang’s son’s girlfriend Gabby who is the bars host, Nate Ryan a model/bartender/DJ and two new hires Morgan and Cristina, who will be bartenders. Miami Monkey stems from the Drunken Monkey, the wildly popular bar located in Staten Island, NY that is owned by Big Ang. The Drunken Monkey located on Forest Ave. has been a host to numerous locals, celebrities and visitors of the island for years. Big Ang created a strong sense of community in her bar making it a welcoming place for new and regular visitors. People enjoy going there and are always excited for a chance to meet Big Ang and get their picture taken with her. The success of Drunken Monkey in Staten Island is just one of the many indicators of how successful Miami Monkey is going to be. For starters, Miami Monkey is located on South Beach’s popular and sexy, Ocean Drive. The street is only seconds away from the beach, boosts beautiful views and has hundreds of visitors walking up and down each day. All which, gives Miami Monkey the opportunity to attract more tourists, than locals and get its’ name out there. The next episode of Miami Monkey premieres this Sunday, September 15, at 10 pm on VH1.
